Tracey serves as Bebegarten’s Head of School and is an integral part of Bebegarten’s team having been with us since our opening Academic Year.
She has worked with children from a variety of social, cultural and economic backgrounds globally in over 30 years as a Teacher, Practitioner and Manager. Such settings include: schools, hospitals, a women’s refuge and outreach programmes for children with special educational needs.
With a Diploma in Early Years, National Nursery Examination Board, UK, Registered teacher status in Hong Kong and a wealth of teaching and management experience within Early Years Education; Tracey brings together all of this knowledge into her management practices to better our community.
Prior to joining Bebegarten she worked at an International through-school in Cairo as a team leader and brings a widespread range of experiences to Bebegarten’s community of learners on a daily basis.
Shaun HandfordBorn and raised in the UK, Shaun was inspired to work within the Early Years after becoming an Uncle in his teenage years and only wanting the best experiences for his Niece and Nephew. A focus on Early Years studies followed and culminated in a B.A. Hons degree during his time with the highly reputable Pre-School Learning Alliance, UK.
May HendersonMay joined Bebegarten from an inclusive school in Thailand and serves as our Learning Support Coordinator, in house Speech and Language Therapist and an Early Years Class Teacher. Born and raised in the UK, May has amassed a wealth of classroom and casework experience with includes working with a wide range of children with speech, language and communication needs.
Marco IannelliMarco serves as Bebegarten’s Artistic Director and is an Italian composer, musicologist, conductor and music educator - honoured with numerous international composition awards and his work can be heard around the world. Such career highlights include the role of Artistic Coordinator for the supporting events during the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
Hannah DenttenHannah was born and raised in England, UK before moving to Hong Kong in 2012 and holds a B.A. Hons in Textiles from Norwich School of Art and Design, Norwich, UK along with a Higher National Diploma in Fashion Design & Technology from London College of Fashion.
Nicola ShannonMs. Nicola is a dedicated and experienced Early Years educator, who has worked with children for over ten years. A registered teacher in Hong Kong since 2008, she has also taught in England and South Africa, where she developed a passion for teaching music and seeing how it can bring people of all nationalities together.
Sinead CullenMs. Sinead was born and raised in the UK and has been working in Early Years settings for ten years. Her first role in an Early Years setting was as an administrator but she was so inspired by the teachers that she went on to gain her postgraduate degree in Early Years Teaching from Middlesex University, London. Her degree focused on birth – 5 years and since then, she has spent time with all of those age groups in various settings throughout her training and teaching career.
Ms. Suman was born in India and lived in many countries from an early age including Fiji, Nepal, Mozambique, England and Hong Kong. At the University of Delhi she mastered in history and then went on to study Early Childhood Education after working as a preschool teacher in Hong Kong. She is a Hong Kong-registered teacher and has also completed a post-graduate diploma in Early Childhood Education at the Hong Kong Baptist University, a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education at the New Zealand Tertiary College and then earned a masters in Pre-Primary Education at the Asian College of Teachers in Bangalore.
Ms. Suman has now been teaching for 8 years and she really enjoys working and learning with young children, as this constantly inspires her to become an even better educator.
Ms. Suman has taught students of various ages in Hong Kong, including Pre-Nursery, K1 and K2, and playgroup. Ms. Suman is very excited to join the Bebegarten team!
Tracy was born and raised in Hong Kong before moving to the UK to complete her secondary and tertiary education. She has a background in Science and holds a Master of Science degree in Environment, Science and Society from University College London, UK.
Tracy has a passion for teaching and specifically has a keen interest in early childhood education and strives to provide a fun and inspiring learning environment for young children. Having previously worked at Bebegarten for three years, Tracy spent a year in a British International School in Hong Kong to help develop their Babies and Toddlers programme. Tracy is excited to join the Bebegarten Under 3’s family again this year.
Tracy is currently studying for a PGCE in Early Years with the University of Sunderland, UK as part of her professional development. She is looking forward to implementing her new knowledge with our Under 3's children and families.
Sarah Antoine-JohnMs. Sarah graduated from the University of East London, where she obtained a first class degree in Early Childhood Studies and Special Education. She has worked with children between the ages 0-5 years, and can truly see how capable, resilient and strong children are between the stages of babyhood progressing into early childhood.
Lili ZengMs. Lili was born and raised in Wenzhou, China. After completing her bachelor’s degree in English at Wenzhou University, she earned a master’s of TESOL in Scotland at Stirling University in 2015. In 2017, Ms. Lili then went on to earn a second master’s in Child and Family Education at the Education University of Hong Kong.
Alex LauAlex was born and raised in the UK and joins Bebegarten with a tangible passion for Drama and Arts Education; holding a B.A. Hons in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London, UK.
Bianca SungBorn in Hong Kong but spending the majority of her formative years in Canada from 2 - 18 years old, Bianca’s first-hand experiences of living life as a third-culture-child and within International education contexts strengthened her resolve to provide inspiring Early Years platforms for all children and parents alike.
Nichola LewisBorn and raised in the UK, Nichola is returning to Hong Kong for a second time with deep ties to the region; with two of her children now serving as International teachers themselves here.
Rachel ZhaoBorn and raised in China, Rachel moved to Hong Kong in 2011 to continue her studies and direct her focus towards Early Years learners. Having previously gained a B.Sc. in Applied Psychology, Soochow University, China, it was her decision to pursue her M.Ed. in Educational and Developmental Psychology, Hong Kong Institute of Education, which aligned her focus towards the developmental and educational milestones of children from 6 months to 6 years old.
Sydney LottSydney was born and raised in California, USA and has worked internationally in Education for the past 4 years between Thailand and Hong Kong.
